Fresh As A Daisy Scarf Handmade Wool and Silk Nuno Felt

Fresh As A Daisy: perfect for wrapping up on spring days when the warmth of the sun is a little more fickle. This is a soft and lightweight fine wool and silk scarf in shades of grass, sky, duck egg and white.  Inspired by the fields of oxeye daisies and the first brave daisies sprinkled across the grass, this scarf will bring cheer and joy into someone’s life and wardrobe. Some people have also used these decorative scarves as wall hangings during the warm summer months. I have also laid some across my bed, which my cat adores! Short enough to be tucked inside a jacket or draped over your shoulders in the evening. Measurements: 51″ 130cm x 14″  36cm Fabric Care: it is best to wash this scarf by hand if you can, or use the handwash setting on your machine with nothing else in it. The process of making felt involves warm water, soap and agitation. This is exactly what your washing machine does. There is a risk of further shrinkage if you agitate it further in hot soapy water. Using natural soap also helps it to keep its lustre and drape. It can be spun to extract most of the water, or rolled in a towel and pressed (stand on it or ask the kids to jump up and down on it!) before hanging somewhere warm to dry completely. Finish off with a gentle steam iron to restore its shape and lustre.
